Mini Dribblers

3-4 years of age

4.30 pm - 5.15 pm every Thursday @ Marsden Road Health Centre NE34 6RE 

10.15 am - 11 am every Sunday @ Harton Academy NE34 6DL

Sports clothing and trainers are required along with a drink. We give the children a biscuit midway during the session so please inform us if your child has any food allergies.

 

Parent participation is required during the session due to a lack of awareness of surroundings at this age from the children.

 

Mini Dribblers is the next step up from Tiny Miners and a step closer to playing for one of our teams. Mini Dribblers is a great learn by play session, we use small size one balls and a size 4 sponge balls. During the year at Mini Dribblers children will learn how to dribble the ball in different directions, score loads of goals., stop the ball under control, begin to learn to play with different parts of the foot, listen to commands and demonstrate to the group. We also like to play none ball games and focus on jumping and hopping to help with balance and agility.

The objective of this class is to help the children settle in groups of children to help them improve their confidence and social skills. They will develop directional dribbling, ability to shoot, learn to use different parts of the foot, improve agility, balance, co-ordination, stamina and speed.

 

Why choose Our classes? We provide a platform for your child to learn from the age of 2 years old and progress from Tiny Miners (2-3 years ) to Mini Dribblers (3-4 years)  then to Mini Miners (4-7 years ) and then guarantee a place in one of our Harton and Westoe Juniors football teams from the age of 6 ( year 1 ).
